rebox.NET update
22nd JanuaryJust another couple of silly updates for rebox.NET bringing it up to version 1.9.2.0 which should be all fine for now. Over the past few months it has been extensively re-written, checked, and checked again.
rebox.NET update
18th JanuaryUpdated rebox.NET, now at version 1.9.1.0. Just fixed and added a couple of things, also had some stuff I'd forgot to uncomment in the code last time around.
avi.NET update
13th SeptemberUpdated avi.NET to NOT use the newest Xvid v1.3.2. For whatever reason, installing the latest Xvid v1.3.2 with the latest avi.NET v3.5.0.0 resulted in quite a few people, but by no means all, having "MCI" errors. For those that did not, avi.NET v3.5.0.0 is still available for use with Xvid v1.3.2. Those that did have the "MCI" errors, there's a newer v3.5.1.0 of avi.NET. Uninstall your version of Xvid and install the one included within the avi.NET v3.5.1.0 download package (important!).
Current status and near future
Presently this web site is moving away from the old AVI format, it's still supported with avi.NET and the AVIs it creates are still player compatible, but the video world has moved on. Blu-ray and HD MKV files are very popular at the moment and will only grow in popularity in the coming years. There's already quite a few Blu-ray to MKV or MP4 conversion programs out there so why another? Although there are a couple of good ones, many are bad, difficult to navigate, buggy, far from user friendly, and give poor results. Hopefully my new program, video.NET, will make high and/or standard definition video conversion a pleasurable process yielding quality results. All clone.AD programs are FREE to download and use.

new programs
A few months ago saw the birth of rebox.NET, allowing you to remux your high definition MKV files so they play on your PlayStation 3 and/or XBOX360 without having to wait hours for them to be re-encoded. Now there’s another free program, video.NET, which will allow various video and movie inputs and create both standard and high definition MKV|MP4 files.
